Essays

Writing an Essay is to penning down the thoughts, ideas and/or opinions on the particular topic. Hence, the word “Essay” means an attempt to give out a literary composition on the subject matter. Diction and style are the key aspects of an essay and so make sure when you write an essay, style is simple, clear and direct & is concisely written.

There are various kinds of essays, such as: argumentative, narrative, critical, expository, personal and persuasive. Some of the prominent English essayist includes: Joseph Addison, Richard Steele, Charles Lamb, William Hazlitt, Thomas Babington Macaulay, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Walter Bagehot, George Orwell, Aldous Huxley and E.B. White.  

On the way to sustain and steal the attention of the reader, make sure that the thesis statement in the essays should be strong and positive. Besides this, make certain that the introduction of the essay lead to the thesis statement. The thesis statement has a wealth of advantage to keep the reader focused. 

Body of good essays are divided into paragraphs so as to provide a visual dimension of coherence and structure to the essay.  Make sure that your each paragraph cover some cogent point by focusing on the main idea of your essay. Avoid writing prolonged sentences in the essays as it obstructs the reader to go further in reading the essay. After finishing off with the writing of the essay, make it error free by revising it thoroughly.   

A well written essays needs to have good subject matter, proper arrangement of ideas, good vocabulary, adequate power of expression and systematic argument. Essay is formulated by three basic components. Short and inspiring Introduction that can persuade the reader to get neck-deep in reading, Body covering three or four paragraphs with reference to the topic and a Conclusion that should lay emphasis on the point of the essay.

Introduction:

Provide thesis statement and background information in the introduction part of the essay. An introduction of the essay should touch on all the main points that will cover the whole essay. By this, your reader will get an idea about your opinions on the subject matter of the essay.

Body:

The body of your essay should hold arguments in support of your views that are almost certainly have in excess of one view. Make sure your views and arguments are arranged in a logical and convincing order. In short, body of the essay provides detailed support of your main idea.

Conclusion:

Same as introduction, conclusion of an essay is also very fundamental part of the essay. At conclusion part, essayist are supposed to summarize and go over the main points all over again. To be exact, bring out those arguments you have put forth in support of your views. In the concluding lines of the essay, drop such line that makes the reader to contemplate.
